Tuesday May 5th

Morning Year 5,

Well done on submitting your work on seesaw. Please remember the password changes weekly for the zoom meetings with your teachers. The new passwords will be sent out before planned meetings. Please keep on checking the blog and remember your live lessons for MFL and PE on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  PE and music post their work for you on a Monday and there is an MFL takeover on a Friday. If you can it is important you join the morning meetings with your class at 8am. It is a great way to ask any questions or talk to your classmates.

Please remember to continue placing your work into the subject specific folders e.g: MFL, French Mandarin etc. You all have access your folder.

If you need clarification with absolutely anything please just email your class teacher during the hours of 7:25am- 1:45pm. You can also use the communication tool to send a notification to your teacher using Seesaw.

READING

The BFG ; For today, you should have completed reading or listening to, The Palace and The Queen.
For today's reading task, you are going to take inspiration from when the BFG meets the Queen. He becomes tongue tied and all flustered, because the person he is meeting is so famous. Now watch the clip from the movie.

Now that you are inspired, we would like you to record yourself on Seesaw, telling us, if you could meet any famous person (alive or from the past) who would it be and why?

Hi Year 5,

This week in I.C.T you are going to do some photography. Everyday we look at photos, either online, on billboards and in magazines, but how many of these photos are real? Today your task is to take a photograph and then edit it using the toolkit below. It is vital that we ensure we never compare ourselves to others especailly in an age that editing is extremely simple. In an online world, people and companies use editing to persuade others, so it is vital that we always look at images and always assume that we may not be seeing the image as it naturally is.

Simply take a photo and use the editing function to crop, insert, filter and recolour. Simply watch the video below and then use the toolkit to ensure you have completed the task.
