Antonio Vivaldi composed the Four Seasons to represent,
through several elements of music, various aspects of each of the seasons Spring,
Summer, Autumn Winter.
This video aims to explains what Vivaldi was attempting to
express with music. Follow the video commentary as you listen to see what
Vivaldi is trying to describe through music. This is another example of program
music – instrumental music that tries to evokes a mood, a place, or a story.
