Four Seasons - Summer: 1st Movement
Antonio Vivaldi composed the Four Seasons to represent, through several elements of music, various aspects of each of the seasons Spring, Summer, Autumn Winter.
Follow the video commentary as you listen to see what
Vivaldi is trying to describe through music.
This is another movement (in classical music, each separate
track is usually called a movement) from Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’. It is another example of program music – instrumental music that tries to evokes a mood, a place, or a story.
CREATE YOUR OWN STRINGED INSTRUMENT
Do you have
an empty tissue box or shoe box? Rubber bands? If you do you can try creating
your own stringed instrument. (The pdf expains the task in more detail.) Can you join in with Vivaldi and create a Four
