Morning Year 5,
Well done on submitting all your work using seesaw. Remember we are now using seesaw as our communication tool for planned zoom meetings. Please check your inbox or personal journal for these notifications. Please make sure you check the blog for specialist subjects like PE and music who post their work for you on a Monday and Tuesday. If you can, it is important you join the morning meetings with your class at 8am. It is a great way to ask any questions or talk to your classmates and a good way to start your day.
If you need clarification with absolutely anything please just email your class teacher during the hours of 7:25am- 1:45pm.

We are going to continue working on measuring and begin to use a protractor today. Please click on the first video so you understand how to use a protractor before beginning the independent task. I have explained the independent task in the second video. We understand that some of you may not have access to a protractor at home so there are alternative options. Below is a link to a printable protractor so if you have a printer at home you can print it out, cut it out and then use it. The second is a link to a virtual protractor online that you can measure your angles with.
Virtual Protractor
Please take the time to watch the video above which includes an explanation of how to use a protractor accurately.
Independent Work
Please click on the link below for the independent task. There is no extension task for today as we need to develop mastery of our measuring with complete accuracy.

ART
Hi Year 5, this week in Art, we are looking at utilising space. Last week you made objects appear further away with the use of perspective drawing, this week we are going to try and make objects appear closer, by using space. All you will need for this is a nice sharp HB pencil, some paper, an eraser and some colour pencils/felts. This lesson you will be using the skill of overlapping in your artwork. Watch the video below and if you need, download the PowerPoint to assist you. Our Art lessons go for a week, so this doesn't have to be finished until next week. Take your time and upload your 'close up' once it is finished.
