Guided Reading
The previous two class novels within Year 5, have been such a success, that we would like to keep this enthusiasm alive. So, we are now moving onto our new title, 'The BFG' by Roald Dahl.
Some classes have already begun reading this wonderful tale, so to ensure that we are all on the same page, for Wednesday, please read up to the end of Chapter 6, 'The Giants,'
The entire book is accessible by clicking on the link below.
Happy reading, and remember, you can record yourself reading, read to a family member, or read silently in a quiet place in your home.

TOPIC

This week Year 5 we are looking at comparing and contrasting the Earth, Sun and Moon. We are going to integrate this by finding similarities and differences and report them with the use of a Venn Diagram. You may have seen these in mathematics. Please watch the video below with Mr. Trent, use the PowerPoint, the YouTube video and the Venn Diagram template to complete the activity. Please use your wonderful artistic skills to brighten it up once you feel you have enough information.
