Friday 17th April

Happy Friday Year 5,

Congratulations on another successful week of virtual school. The outstanding work you are sending in makes it really hard to choose pieces of work to share with you on our Friday reflection. Remember to keep posting your work to your seesaw folder and look for updates from your class teacher in your notifications. If at any stage you are having difficulty accessing work on the blog please refresh your page as links and videos change daily. Don't forget to drop into the live assembly at 8.00am this morning.

If you need clarification with anything please just email your class teacher during the hours of 7:25am- 11:45am.

Friday Illusion Puzzles

We are going to have a break from our TT Rockstars challenge as Mr. Fyfe and Mrs. Reekie - Evans are still wondering how so many of you have beaten them and they need time to practice so they can get better.

Today there are illusions for you to look at and see if you can discover hidden drawings and messages within. We already know you spend time on your screen so please don't spend any longer  than 5 minutes looking at each illusion. You will not need to click on the image as I will post the answers below.

Read Aloud Friday

We know that for many of you, you have finished your school home reader or your school library books. Therefore, today we have added two magazine articles for you to read and enjoy.

Click on the links below and find out about sloths, in the article ‘Hanging Tough’ or click on and find out about Jordan Reeves in the article 'Nothing Can Stop Her'.

Click on the videos shown in the articles, to learn more about each news story.

Hanging Tough                Nothing Can Stop Her

TOP TIP!
A useful tool if you want to listen to the article is that you can click on Text-to-Speech (found on the left hand side of the screen), which will read the text aloud to you. You can slow this down too, if it reads it too fast.

Enjoy learning more about the world around us!

Spelling

Remember to do your spelling test today. Ask your parents or a sibling to run through your ten words. Record down your score ready to pass onto your class teacher.
