We are progressing well with our current topic on Perimeter and Area and will finish at the completion of this week. Starting next week we will begin our next unit of work on fractions. The topic is a very broad area of study and will involve the following areas;

Mixed numbers to improper fractions
Number sequences Compare and order fractions less than 1
Compare and order fractions greater than 1
Add and subtract fractions
Add fractions within 1
Add 3 or more fractions
Add fractions
Add mixed numbers
Subtract fractions
Subtract mixed numbers
Subtract –breaking the whole
Each area will be broken down with a first week emphasis on Equivalent Fractions and Improper/mixed number fractions.
