Terracotta Warriors
As part of our studies on Ancient China we spent time looking at the Terracotta Warriors. It was an opportunity to look at them in depth and understand the reasoning behind their creation and how they were preserved over a long period of time. We always look at how we can incorporate subject areas together and integrate our learning around our central focus of study. Art was a good area to do this in and all students had the opportunity to create their own Terracotta Warrior using clay. Following many of the techniques used and described through research the pictures below express the students own interpretation of a warrior.
