The Great Wave

Building on from our previous Art lessons on mixing colour, Year 5 have began the monumental task or recreating Katsushika Hokusai"s 'The Great Wave'. This art piece also falls in line with our Disaster Strikes topic and requires the children to follow numerous different steps first with pencil, the using a mixture of colours. They have all made a fantastic start, this will take some time and care, however, we are certain the end results will be incredible.

Please watch The Great Wave and encourage your child to discuss where lines start, finish in terms of on their paper.
